Intermediate Algebra!

Professor Minor's faculty picture

Intermediate Algebra class was last night. I love it. I have Professor James (Jim) Minor. He speaks clearly, he’s easy to understand, and he is entertaining. I think it’s gonna be a great semester. I mean, I’m pretty pumped about it. I already have my book that I bought a few weeks back for $20 on Amazon. (It’s $100 used in the bookstore.) I’m glad I got the book early because now I can actually do the homework when I have a free moment, and not just when I can get to the library to use the loaner book.

Cheapest book yet! $20 on Amazon!

Gah. I have to buy a graphing calculator though… you know, one of the Texas Instrument ones you had in like, your senor year of high school? Er, well, maybe that was just my school. Speaking of which, I can now get a phone that takes freaking pictures and sends them all over the world for like, $50… SO WHY ARE GRAPHING CALCULATORS STILL $100??

OMG they come in pink. I DIE.

Ugh. I guess I should be happy that a future purchase I’m about to make holds it’s value well, but sheesh, isn’t the price of technology supposed to go down over time? I remember the TI-83 or TI-84 I bought ten years ago was $100!! Ehh, ok, enough bitching about the price of calculators. Time to get to work. Hugs and Happy Hump Day!!
